Kelso, WA-Melvin W Waddoups, 48, died Friday, Nov 30, 2007, at the home of his daughter in Tremonton, UT.

He was born November 4, 1959 in Preston, ID, the son of Wayne and Marilyn Waddoups and Foster son of Brent and Ruth Fluckiger. He Married Kim Valentine on December 27, 1985 in Providence, UT they were later divorced. Melvin lived in Logan, UT then later moved to Providence, UT, Bountiful, UT and was currently living in Kelso, WA where he recently moved to in order to further his education and go back to school to become a drug and alcohol counselor. Melvin went to Skyview high school in Smithfield, UT where he played both offense and defense for the football team and was also a part of the high school wrestling team.

Melvin later took advanced welding classes where he become an expert welder. He enjoyed camping, water and snow skiing and having family gatherings. Melvin loved the outdoors and would often take his kids fishing knowing exactly what fish he could catch from what streams. Melvin was a member of the LDS church.

He is survived by his children; Kyle Wayne Waddoups (fiancé Heather) of Sunset, UT, Tyler Clint (Jana) Waddoups of Dugway, UT, and Vanessa Ranae Waddoups of Tremonton, UT; One grandson, Dax Tyler Waddoups; Parents and Foster Parents, Wayne and Marilyn Waddoups, Brent and Ruth Fluckiger; Brothers and Sisters, Jay (Diane) Waddoups, Jeff (Rhonda) Young, Marvin Fluckiger, Brenda (Mike) Martin, Misty (Chris) Vaterlaus, Travis (Lorinda) Fluckiger, Shauni (Mark) Bodily, Crystal (Tim) Rawlings, Susan (Keith) Baumann and many Aunts, Uncles, Nephews, Nieces, and Cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Milton (Rhea) Edghill, William L (Cora) Waddoups, Brother; Kevin Fluckiger, Nephews; TJ Fluckiger and Michael Fluckiger and Cousin and Friend Kenny Davis.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday, December 4, 2007 at the Allen Hall Funeral Home, 34 East Center Street, Logan, UT. Friends and family may call prior to service from 10:30am to 11:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Providence City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations to help cover funeral expenses. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at Allen Mortuaries.
